Ronel Raicsics
Born and raised in the greater Boston area, Ronel Raicsics [his surname pronounced "right-ch-itch"] is the son of immigrant parents [his father from Hungary, his mother from Honduras]. In the late 1970s, he began an intense, years-long, apprenticeship in bench jewelry, gemology, and the traditional art of wax jewelry carving; after having established a reputation as a highly skilled scrimshaw artist, while still a teenager.
Eventually opening his own studio in Newton, MA, Ronel's work has been featured in full-page ads in upscale publications like Town & Country and Aspire, and has been sold by established high-end retailers like Saks Fifth Avenue, among others, specializing in the luxury goods market.
On behalf of such retailers, Ronel has hand-created multiple stunning pieces of bespoke jewelry for celebrity clients to include a former sitting First Lady of the United States; the world's highest-paid author; and it's most famous monarch.
In 2020, Ronel and his family relocated to Sevierville, Tennessee, hometown of Dolly Parton (in fact, Ronel's studio is now located just around the corner from Dolly's iconic life-sized bronze statue, near Sevierville's City Hall). Located on historic Bruce Street, Ronel welcomes walk-in visitors most days, but strongly recommends making an APPOINTMENT to discuss the creation of a unique (bespoke) piece, in person. He may also be consulted online and (after completing the contact form) by telephone, HERE.
Ronel looks forward to meeting you, and providing the kind of exclusive service you've come to expect!
